Staff Accountant
Responsibilities include:
- Applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information
- Preparation of accurate and timely financial reports and statements
- Ensuring appropriate accounting control procedures and support manufacturing cost accounting
- Maintaining and enhancing Stark's dynamics Great Plains system
- Making recommendations to Manufacturing in the structure of work orders that combine build principles with good accounting principles.
For accounting, this person should:
- Ensure financial records compliance.
- Develop and maintain financial databases and compile and analyzae financial information and reports.
- Implement and maintain control procedures and resolve discrepancies.
- Support accounting activities and ensure all deadlines are met.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording and analysis of accounting information and periodic close.
For Great Plains, this person should:
- Be support point for GP dynamics users.
- Troubleshoot operational, application, and workflow issues.
- Create, maintain, and execute Integration Manager Jobs, technical documentation, and user training.
- Design reports using SQL.
- Manage FRx reporting and Crystal reporting applications.
Qualifications:
- Accounting or IT degree
- 3 to 5 years experience with GP 10: Job costing, MRP, Purchasing/Inventory, Smartlist Builder, Crystal Reports, FRx Reports, and Microsoft Dynamics Report Writer
- 3 to 5 years experience in manufacturing environment
- Experience in maintaining chart of accounts, reporting entities, and hierarchies across the finance data architecture.
- Knowledge of accepted accounting practices and principles and related Microsoft applications.
- 3 to 5 years experience in the management of financial systems and budgets, financial reporting, financial data analysis, and cost accounting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prefer knowledge of auditing practices and principles.
- Prefer knowledge of applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
- Prefer experience with systems implementations and/or upgrades.
